Freedom House is a pilot program to learn the model we are developing for affordable and sustainable housing that creates life changing impact. Make A DifferenceIndia and a group of Care Leavers in the MAD After Care Program will participate in the first Home Matters Initiative Pilot to construct a single family home and later, a Co-Living Apartment Unit.

This program will focus on designing and constructing housing that meets the needs of the Care Leavers and provides them with a safe and secure place to call home. The program will focus on creating designs that are both sustainable and aesthetically pleasing. This will include incorporating features like green roofs, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, local building materials, passive cooling, natural ventilation, appropriate landscaping and organic farming.
